X-Bow is one of the annoying card which can be used to take down your towers without actually coming close to your towers. In the recent Clash Royale updates the damage done by X-bow has been reduced but still its annoying.
X-Bow card is usually played along with some other high XP cards (like barbarians,minion giant, mini pekka, skeleton) or defending building as a shield to the x-bow. This makes it really hard and annoying to take down the x-bow.
Defending the X-Bow decks is quite challenging and it gets frustrating if the opponent is coming with a spawner deck of buildings. Most players tend to guard their x-bow by placing a wall of buildings (like cannons or tesla) and build a defence wall for x-bow while it keeps shooting at the tower and damaging it.
However once you level up and get better cards like the Giant Skeleton, Balloon etc it becomes more easy to defeat the X-bow. Below are some of our tips on how you can defeat or defend against the x-bow card.
Distract the X-Bow
It takes some time for the x-bow to actually get spawned. You should make sure that you distract the x-bow by giving it some other cards to look at. For example you could try using a Barbarian hut or any other cards so that the X-Bow keeps attacking those building rather than your crown towers.
Place cards in front of your crown towers
This is important so that the X-Bow doesn’t lock into your crown tower rather try attacking the other cards which are in front of it.
Using Fireball or Lightning Spells.
If you are having the Fireball or Lightning Spells then this can be effectively used to take down the X-Bow. However you might not get the Fireball/Lightning spell card in hand while the opponent using X-bow. In that case simply drop low elixer card in front of your crown tower so that the X-Bow feeds on those while you wait for your next fireball/lightning spell card to come to your active deck.
Using Giant Skeleton to defeat the X-Bow.
We just love the Giant Skeleton and it is pretty much effective against the X-bow. Whenever someone put an X-Bow place your giant skeleton right towards it along with a little bit of support from goblins or archers behind it. These support cards will help your giant skeleton reach towards the X-Bow. Once your giant skeleton reaches the x-bow forget it and let it to explode.
Balloon
Balloon takes down building units pretty quickly. All you need is to make sure it reaches the target. If you have balloon then its really easy to take down the x-bow. Just make sure your balloon reaches the building before it gets taken down. And the fun part is the balloon also deals some death damage by dropping a bomb which will further take down the defending the cards surrounding the x-bow.
